The Core Privacy Principle: Zero Server Storage
We do not collect or store your family tree data on remote servers. मेरो Family is engineered as a client-side web application. When you enter names, birth years, Gotra, or ancestral origins, that information is saved directly in your web browser's local storage (localStorage) on your personal device.
1. No Central Database
There is no cloud database storing your family's records. Because we do not hoard your genealogical data, there is zero risk of data leaks, server breaches, or unauthorized third-party access.
2. Local-First Architecture
Your modifications persist across browser sessions through HTML5 localStorage. You can export a full JSON backup file to your own hard drive at any time, or clear all saved data with one click.
3. No Sign-up or Accounts Required
We never ask for your email address, phone number, or passwords. You can start creating your tree immediately upon opening the website.
4. Client-Side PNG and PDF Generation
When you click "Export PNG" or "Export PDF", the document is compiled in-memory inside your own browser window. Not a single pixel or personal record travels over the network.
